All Lladró creations are the fruit of a painstaking handmade process of elaboration, carried out entirely in the workshops of the City of Porcelain, in Valencia. The artistic team at Lladró creates pieces in clay following traditional sculpting techniques. The original model is then fragmented and each part is reproduced exactly in porcelain using moulds.
Once the figurine has been recomposed, it is decorated and then fired in the kiln at high temperatures, where it takes on its final appearance. Every step in this delicate process is made by highly qualified and specialized artisans, because even the smallest imperfection at any stage in the process would completely ruin the final result. Once completed, each piece is submitted to an exhaustive quality control check which discards any piece with a minimum defect. After all, it is only the search for perfection that can lead us to beauty. And this beauty is completely unique and no two pieces match!
